What is Tsunami????

Hello..let we think for a while..some event that called 'Tsunami' have been occur in our country..a lot of damage have to suffer by some of our citizen..but are you know what is 'tsunami'..Ihave read some information about tsunami before..Tsunami is a Japanese word with the English translation, "harbor wave." The phenomenon we call tsunami is a series of large waves of extremely long wavelength and period usually generated by a violent, impulsive undersea disturbance or activity near the coast or in the ocean. When a sudden displacement of a large volume of water occurs, or if the sea floor is suddenly raised or dropped by an earthquake, big tsunami waves can be formed by forces of gravity. Earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions, explosions, and even the impact of cosmic bodies, such as meteorites, can generate tsunamis. Tsunamis can savagely attack coastlines, causing devastating property damage and loss of life. So,learn more about it..=)...

Want to know about corrosion?????

I just want to tell about the corrosion happens in our surrounding.Corrosion means the breaking down of essential properties in a material due to chemical reactions with its surroundings.Weakening of iron due to oxidation of the iron atoms is a well-known example of electrochemical corrosion. This is commonly known as rust. This type of damage usually affects metallic materials, and typically produces oxides and salts of the original metal. Corrosion also includes the dissolution of ceramic materials and can refer to discoloration and weakening of polymers by the sun's ultraviolet light.
Most structural alloys corrode merely from exposure to moisture in the air, but the process can be strongly affected by exposure to certain substances. Corrosion can be concentrated locally to form a pit or crack, or it can extend across a wide area to produce general deterioration. While some efforts to reduce corrosion merely redirect the damage into less visible, less predictable forms, controlled corrosion treatments.So.study about it..=)
